Dear Players, Vets and friends

Well … what a weekend. England taking the match points from the Welsh at Twickenham and the Bank taking a bonus point from Old Actonians in an excellent 27-12 home win. This leaves us 3rd in the League, two points behind Royston who are 2nd.( League table link)

This league match was one of the best contests this season. After 20 mins we were behind by two tries, lacking a little shape, confidence and rushing play in wet and windy conditions. The squad then started to play their normal rugby with powerful forward drives and incisive back moves.  All 15 players linked up really well with backs & forwards interchanging and supporting each other to great effect. It would be wrong to single out any individuals as everyone gave their all and played for each other. However, I’d like to mention our eldest player (Ale Durate) and youngest player (James Dooling) who both had great games, James picking up a well-supported try. Overall a great team effort.
