Letter from the Chairman regarding the Vet's Lunch and all three Senior Rugby team's Win's on the weekend.
May I pass on my thanks and congratulations to everyone for the tremendous achievement to field three XVs two weeks ago.
This has been one of our Club ambitions for some time and it's great you all managed so well to achieve this, especially with six former mini/junior players coming through to the senior XVs.
Being the first occasion three XV s played, I expect it wasn’t easy for the Captains’ selection having to juggle players around to ensure all XVs were balanced with the right player in the right position. Its early days but the platform is now in place to fully establish three regular XVs.
One of the Club’s priorities is to ensure the future of the Development XV. I therefore wanted to ask for your continued support to work together and maintain your momentum to secure these three XVs. To field three XVs may require the occasional sacrifice when players are asked to play out of position or move to different teams. With your help we can build on this recent success and attract additional new players.
I’d also like to express my thanks to Graham Sheridan and his Junior Section coaches for their enormous help to encourage six former Junior players to join the Senior XVs two weeks ago. To have returning Junior players is one of the life lines of the Bank – so well-done Graham and colleagues.
Well done once again and thanks for everyone’s continued help and support.
